4.99 when booking online, 5.49 at the box office
Cramlington, Doncaster, Glasgow Fort, Sheffield
6.99 online vs 7.49 at the box office
Islington
Student Discounts and Offers
Students who use the Hold App can also get discounted tickets and free boxes of popcorn. The Hold app is a nifty app that rewards students with points for not using their phone which they can exchange for rewards (including Vue Cinema ticket discounts and popcorn).
Vue cinemas also offer student discounts with a valid ID at some locations.
Kids Screenings – Vue Mini Mornings
Vue Mini Mornings offer 2.49 tickets for children and accompanying adults. Vue cinemas run Mini Mornings every weekend from 10am and every day during school holidays.
It tends to be quite limited in terms of films though. For example, my nearest Vue is only showing Maleficent at the moment, so bear this in mind.
Vue Family Tickets
With the Vue family ticket, everyone pays the child ticket price. You can only get this when booking online though for 2D screenings.
Or you can go for the All-Inclusive Family Ticket that gives you four tickets, four drinks, and four snacks for up to 20% off.
A few cinemas are excluded too.
Family Tickets aren’t currently available at Vue Aberdeen, Ashbourne, Cardiff, Carmarthen, Cleverleys, Cwmbran, Dublin, Edinburgh Ocean, Gateshead, Hamilton, Lancaster, Limerick, Rhyl and Thanet.
Senior Screening – Seniors Cinema Club
Senior screenings are exclusively for the over 60’s. Films include latest releases and classics, and you also get a cuppa and a biscuit with your ticket.
2 for 1 cinema tickets with Meerkat Movies
You can get 2 for 1 cinema tickets at Vue Cinemas on Tuesdays and Wednesdays by using the Meerkat Movies offer from Compare the Market.
You can claim the offer by either entering your weekly code when you book online (75p per ticket booking fee applies) or by presenting your code to a member of staff if you buy your tickets in the cinema.
This is probably the absolute cheapest way to get tickets if you use it at an Every Film, Every Day venue as you can get adult tickets for a total of 4.99.
You can find out more in my Meerkat Movies guide including how it works, and how to get it for around 1 for the year.
Discounted cinema tickets with Tastecard Plus
If you’re not going to the cinema on a Tuesday or Wednesday (meaning you can’t use Meerkat Movies), using a Tastecard Plus deal* could be your best bet.
You can use the Tastacard Plus offers nationwide at Vue cinemas on 2D or 3D films. To get the deal you need to buy and e-ticket using the Tastecard app (45p booking fee applies).
The prices vary depending on location and you get a minimal discount of 50p if you’re going to one of the “Cheap Vue Cinemas” that only charge 4.99 for all films.
To find out more about Tastecard Plus, take a look at my review.
6 Free Vue Tickets with a Club Lloyds Bank Account
You can get 6 Free tickets for Vue cinemas each year if you’ve got a Lloyds Club Bank Account. You get the offer every 12 months as well, as long as you have the account.
You’ll need to pay in 1,500 a month though or there’s a 3 a month fee for the account.
Free Vue Cinema Ticket for Vitality Members
Vitality members can get a free Vue cinema ticket.
How to get it.
Once you’re a Vitality member.
- Track your activity and earn 12 Vitality points per week for two consecutive weeks.
- Log into the Member Zone or the Vitality Member app the following week to generate your personal cinema ticket code.
- Enter your code on Vue’s website when booking your tickets.
- Collect your tickets at the cinema – and enjoy the film.
33% Discount with the EE Vue Filmcard
EE has partnered with Vue to offer 33% off standard tickets* and concessions for 3 months after you take out a phone or mobile broadband plan*.
You can use your Film Card to get a 33 percent discount on up to two standard 2D, 3D, VIP, Recliner, Gold Class, IMAX and Xtreme Screen tickets. You can use the discount once a day for film tickets but the number of concessions you can buy such as soft drinks, bottled water, hotdogs, popcorn and nachos is unlimited.
To get the discount you need to buy your tickets in the cinema and present your card – you can’t use it when buying online or over the phone. The card can be used at any Vue location apart from Scene screenings at Vue Westfield – Shepherds Bush.
AA members discount at Vue Cinema
AA members can get up to 45% off Vue tickets, which includes Every Film Every Day, 3D and 2D tickets.
You get it by logging into your online AA account, then buying a Vue pass. A code is then emailed to you (this is how Tastecard Plus works too).
You then either enter the code when you order your tickets online in the promo code section, or hand it over at the box office.
This offer is subject to availability and can’t be used with any other promotional offer or discount, including Meerkat Movies.
